The rain is tapping against the window, and when I look outside, I see leaves blowing from the trees. It's autumn. My favorite time of year. The perfect time for coziness, warmth, and coziness. Here are my favorite tips for staying cozy indoors.
moreA cozy house
Okay, maybe not your whole house—my bathroom and hallway are a mess too—but it's wonderful to make the places in your home where you relax or spend a lot of time cozy and inviting. The candles are back on the shelves, and I'm replacing my stack of favorite books next to my yellow chair, so I can find inspiration in my cozy corner during rainy moments. I add some pumpkins, pine cones, and other cozy touches, and I'm completely happy. Oh, and how about a lovely autumnal poster or print?
Popcorn and Chestnuts
It's time to spend more time in the kitchen again. Whether it's making delicious stews, baking a cake, or just roasting popcorn or chestnuts, it's incredibly cozy! You know how much less you feel like cooking in the summer? I quite enjoy baking bread and cakes, but in the summer I don't even touch the mixer. As soon as it starts to get cooler and the days get shorter, I suddenly feel like baking, roasting, and stewing again!

Games from the closet
Get those board games out, because the season is open! Wonderful rainy Sundays to spend the afternoon playing games. Curious about my current favorites? Then read THIS .
Me time
As the days get shorter, I also feel a greater need for "me-time," time to contemplate, make plans, feel, and write in my journal. Autumn is a cyclical time of year when you turn inward; we all slow down a bit, reflect, rest, and recover from the (traditional) hard work of the summer months. It's a natural cycle, and I like to remind myself that I can just let it happen. That it's perfectly normal to feel different each season and to adjust my rhythm and plans accordingly.
Inspiration
Autumn is a wonderfully inspiring time. Slowly building up to the cozy month of December, exploring nature in all its glory. Got soaked? It's so nice to warm up with a cup of tea and an inspiring book. Feeling inspired for autumn now? Great, enjoy!
