WHAT PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED?
Personal data is all information based on which your identity can be determined.
This may include your name, place of residence, e-mail address, telephone number
or other information we need to provide our services to you. Depending on the
context and purpose of the processing (see below), we may also process personal
data other than contact information. Processing your personal data means that your
personal data are collected, stored, used, transferred or deleted, for example.
Illustrator under a blankie only processes the personal data that you have provided
to us yourself. We may also have obtained your personal data from other sources,
such as the trade register of the Chamber of Commerce or public websites. In some
cases we receive personal data from intermediaries with whom you have entered
into an agreement and who contacted us on your behalf, such as shipping
companies or other intermediaries. If you leave comments on our website, you may
opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies and your
comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE PROCESSING?
COMMENTS
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the
comments form, and also the visitor's IP address and browser user agent string to
help spam detection.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be
provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service
privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of
your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your
comment.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email
address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not
have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies
will last for one year.
MEDIA
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with
embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download
and extract any location data from images on the website.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser.
This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article
you just edited. It expires after 1 day.
CONTACT FORMS
All personal data that are entered in contact forms, will directly be sent to
my email account without being saved, copied or processed otherwise by any
intermediary (hosting) provider.
YOUR PROFILE
Your personal data shall be processed in order to enable you to log in to your
profile on our website. When you log in, we will save your login information and
your screen display choices.
EMBEDDED CONTENT FROM OTHER WEBSITES
Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles,
etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if
the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional
third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including
tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and
are logged in to that website.
HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely.
This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically
instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that are registered on our website (if any), we also store the personal
information they provide in their user profile. These data are retained until the
profile is deleted by the user. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options
cookies last for a year. If you select "Remember Me", your login will persist for two
weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
HOW DO WE GUARANTEE THE PROTECTION OF
YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
Illustrator under a blankie has taken measures to safeguard your right to privacy by
securing personal data. For example, we use a secure system for storing your data.
At Illustrator under a blankie your data is only viewed by the employees who need
your personal data to carry out their work. Illustrator under a blankie will not retain
your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it is processed. We
comply with the GDPR retention periods.
WHEN WILL YOUR DATA BE SHARED WITH THIRD
PARTIES
In principle, Illustrator under a blankie never shares your personal data with third
parties. In some cases, however, it may be necessary to share personal data with
someone outside Illustrator under a blankie. However, we never do this for
commercial purposes. We will only share your personal data with third parties if
this is necessary for the services we provide to you or if we are required by law or a
court ruling to share your data with a third party, such as the obligation to share
personal data with judicial or governmental authorities. It may also be necessary to
share your personal data in order to conclude an agreement with a third party on
your behalf (shipping agency, print shop, fulfilment centre, etc.).
WHAT RIGHTS YOU HAVE OVER YOUR DATA
If you want to know what personal data we have stored about you, you can submit
a request to inspect the personal data we process. If you wish to amend,
supplement or delete your personal data held by Illustrator under a blankie you may
also submit a request to that effect. You also have the right to object to the
processing of your personal data and the right to transfer data. You can also revoke
your permission to process certain personal data about you. You can expect a
response to your request within 4 weeks of your request.
DO YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT?
For questions or complaints about the processing of personal data, you can contact
us at hello@estherbennink.nl. In the unlikely event this does not work, you can send
a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (AP) if you believe we are not
compliant with the applicable privacy laws. The AP monitors whether companies
comply with the GDPR.
Privacy and data protection law regulations are still changing. This privacy policy is
kept as up to date as possible and is therefore subject to change. When these
changes are relevant to you, we will let you know. This version of the privacy policy
was last amended on February 16th 2024.
